Which plan do I need for a service reset?

Advanced. A service reset is a special function, and the special functions are Advanced-only regardless of make. Reading and clearing faults on every control unit is on every plan.

Do I need a connector cable?

Cars use the standard 16-pin OBD-II port and need nothing extra. The extension cable is only for a port tucked behind trim where the scanner will not sit. Bikes are the exception — those need a make-specific cable, and it is on the bike product.
